The Knights of the Holy Eucharist are a Catholic Franciscan religious community of brothers devoted to a life centered on Eucharistic adoration, prayer, and fraternity. Following the example of St. Francis of Assisi, we seek to live the Gospel with simplicity and reverence, placing Jesus Christ truly present in the Holy Eucharist at the heart of our daily life.

Our vocation as Franciscan brothers is not oriented toward priesthood, but toward a contemplative and fraternal way of life that gives witness to the primacy of prayer, humility, and joyful service within the Church.

A Franciscan Life Centered on the Holy Eucharist

At the center of our Franciscan vocation is a profound love for Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Eucharistic adoration shapes our prayer, our fraternity, and our apostolic works. Before the Eucharistic Lord, we learn how to live poverty of spirit, obedience to God’s will, and charity toward one another.

St. Francis himself expressed deep reverence for the Eucharist, exhorting his brothers to honor the Body and Blood of the Lord with great devotion. In this same spirit, the Knights of the Holy Eucharist understand adoration not as an isolated practice, but as the source from which all Franciscan life flows.

Who Are Franciscan Religious Brothers?

Franciscan religious brothers are men consecrated to God through vows who live in fraternity according to the Rule of St. Francis. Unlike priests, brothers do not receive Holy Orders. Their vocation is distinct and complementary within the Church, offering a witness of evangelical life rooted in humility, prayer, and communal living.

As brothers, we share all things in common, support one another in prayer and work, and seek to embody the Gospel through our daily lives. Our fraternity is not defined by titles or roles, but by mutual service and fidelity to Christ.

Eucharistic Adoration and Fraternal Life

Eucharistic adoration naturally shapes the way we live together as brothers. Time spent before the Lord forms us interiorly, teaching patience, charity, and attentiveness to God and to one another. From adoration flows reconciliation, unity, and peace within the fraternity.

Our communal prayer includes the Holy Mass, Eucharistic adoration, the Liturgy of the Hours, the Rosary, and other traditional devotions of the Church. In all things, we seek to allow Christ present in the Eucharist to form our hearts according to His own.

A Contemplative and Apostolic Vocation

While our life is contemplative in nature, it is not withdrawn from the needs of the Church. Strengthened by prayer, the Knights of the Holy Eucharist engage in apostolic works that promote devotion to the Holy Eucharist, foster vocations, and encourage faithful Christian living.

Our apostolate flows from silence and prayer, ensuring that our service remains rooted in Christ rather than in activity alone. In this way, our Franciscan life remains balanced, peaceful, and faithful to the Gospel.

Discerning a Call as a Franciscan Brother

Many men today feel drawn to a deeper life of prayer, fraternity, and simplicity, yet may not feel called to the priesthood. The vocation of a Franciscan brother offers a path for those who desire to consecrate their lives fully to God through religious life centered on prayer and Eucharistic devotion.

Discerning such a vocation takes time, prayer, and guidance. We encourage those who feel drawn to this way of life to seek the Lord in Eucharistic adoration and to learn more about the lived reality of Franciscan fraternity.
