From Storms to Springtime

“All ordinances against the laws of God are invalid. Life shortened by suffering has much greater value and offers more to souls than a long life and a comfortable position which participates in the destruction of Christ’s work, staining faith with heresies. The weakened life of Faith would retreat into a position of paganism.”

After seizing power in 1948, the imposed communist government of Czecho-Slovakia enacted heavy-handed laws designed to eliminate the Church from public life and the hearts of the majority, which were faithful. The Catholic Bishops’ response echoes in our suffering world today. They paid the heavy price of martyrdom and from that a spring of faith still flows in today’s youth.

Storms will come but Christ’s truth will not fade away.
