We live in a time when people are willing to fight—to argue, protest, and even sacrifice—for the right to free speech.
But what about the silence within?
What about the voice that should speak truth, but hesitates… weakens… or remains quiet?
There is an enemy far more dangerous than any external threat—the enemy within: a guilty conscience, burdened and weighed down by sin.
Sin does not just offend God.
It does not just wound the soul.
It silences us.
It robs us of clarity.
It weakens our courage.
It makes us hesitant to stand for what is right.
How can we speak boldly against evil in the world if we are compromised within ourselves?
In the spiritual battle of our time—against the spread of pornography, the tragedy of abortion, and the steady erosion of religious freedom—we need more than strong opinions. We need pure hearts and clear voices.
And that clarity comes from one place:
The sacrament of confession.
Through confession, Christ does not merely forgive—He restores. He heals the interior division within us. He removes the burden that weighs down our soul and clouds our judgment. He gives us the freedom to stand again in truth.
A man who has confessed his sins stands differently.
He speaks differently.
He lives differently.
His voice is no longer divided.
His conscience is no longer chained.
His heart is no longer burdened.
He is free.
This is why confession is not weakness—it is strength.
It is the sharpening of the sword.
It is the cleansing of the soul.
It is the preparation for battle.
A true knight does not ignore his wounds. He brings them into the light, allows them to be healed, and returns to the field stronger than before.
In the same way, a Christian man must confront his sins honestly, bring them before Christ, and receive the mercy that restores him.
Only then can he speak with authority.
Only then can he stand firm against evil.
Only then can he lead others toward truth.
Do not let sin silence you.
Do not let guilt weaken you.
Do not let fear keep you away from the confessional.
Go.
Be forgiven.
Be restored.
Be strengthened.
Then rise—and speak.
Knights, sharpen your sword with purity.
Free your tongue with confession.
