Commemorating the Transitus of Holy Father St. Francis

Knights at the Transitus

As we commemorated the Transitus of Our Holy Father St. Francis, we reflected on the passing of this great saint into the Beatific Vision of God. The Transitus and Solemnity of St. Francis is, as you can imagine, a very beautiful and special time here at this Shrine and Franciscan Monastery. To recall the example and life of the apostolic man, Francis, is to see in his life the sandal prints of Our Lord’s own holy life. May the path that Francis trod, not devoid of the daily struggles of life, be for us, in our lives, a model to attain the Heavenly Vision that this “poor man” of Assisi now beholds.
