The Eucharist Is the Sacrament of Love

There is an ancient Latin proverb — Principiis obsta, sero medicina paratur cum mala per longas convaluere moras. Or, stop the illness at the beginning. Medicine may be too late if you delay.

We encourage all, especially young men, to pray daily for a Eucharistic Heart so that we may be the “first instrument” to bring Christ’s peace to our day. As St. Thomas Aquinas put it, “The Eucharist is the Sacrament of Love; It signifies Love, It produces love. The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life.”
